The Coma Trolley Car experiments remain shrouded in mystery. These illicit trials were allegedly performed one month ago in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

These experiments were apparently designed to test the classic Trolley Car problem in the context of the Coma Imprisonment. The Trolley Car problem is a thought experiment that attempts to answer a seemingly intractable moral quandary.

The Trolley Car Problem

The classic Trolley Car problem is as follows. A runaway trolley car is barreling down a set of train tracks. Ahead there is a switch that may divert the trolley to an alternate set of tracks if a lever is pulled. Beside this lever stands a man.

Just past the switch, a villain has tied five people to the tracks who will be killed if the trolley continues on its course. On the alternate set of tracks, the villain has also tied a single person to the tracks.

If the switch man does nothing, five people die. If the switch man moves the lever and diverts the trolley, only one person dies; however, the switch man would have had a direct hand in that person’s death.

The question is whether it is more ethical to be uninvolved and have five people die to save one, or to intervene and kill one person to save five.

In the context of the Coma Imprisonment, this leads to an interesting question. If the above situation was performed after 8/8, would the switch man fall into the Coma if he does nothing? Or would he fall into the Coma if he intervenes and deliberately kills one to save five? Would he fall into the Coma no matter what he does? Or does the Coma spare him no matter what he does?

The Cheyenne Experiments

The Cheyenne experiments have allegedly tested this thought experiment in real life. The exact nature of these experiments remains classified by Federal authorities and the International Coma Imprisonment Consortium (ICIC). However, the reported deaths of six people in the Cheyenne area reveal some clues as to what exactly happened.

If the Coma Trolley Car experiment was performed twice (once with the switch man doing nothing and once with the switch man intervening) then the number of deaths would be six. This is assuming that the renegade researchers who performed the experiment maintained the classic five-to-one ratio of victims. This would indicate that the researchers would have found a way to ensure that in each test the switch man would act in a different way.

Unconfirmed sources have stated that the renegade scientists who performed this experiment are either dead or Comatose.

The ICIC continues its investigation. The inquiry is led by Dr. Belinda Bifouchi, a psychologist from La Sapienza University in Rome.

The ICIC released a statement saying that it may publicize its findings on the Coma Trolley Car experiment during the first international conference of the ICIC that will be in Seoul, South Korea this coming April.
